[News] Lamb of God/Dethklok Tour Cancelled

Today a press released from Adrenaline PR officially cancelled the tour between the two bands because of the allegations against singer Randy Blythe.

Due to the continued incarceration of LAMB OF GOD singer Randy Blythe in the Czech Republic, the band’s co-headline tour with Dethklok scheduled to begin August 1 st in Seattle is being cancelled. The band regrets the decision but the uncertainty of Randy’s release makes it impossible to carry on with the tour. Upon Randy’s release, it is the band’s intention to rebook a tour in the fall and at this time the band fully intends to participate in the Mayhem Cruise in December.

Fans can only hope things pan out before another show is cancelled.

[Undead Wednesday] Metal buckles and hearts

First of all, I want to address that I am creating this post with my Android Incredible 2. Downloaded the WordPress app and everything to make this happen, just for you. Let’s hope it comes out well.

As I side note, I want to add how badass I feel while I do this. I have the phone turned horizontally so I can type with keyboard longway. And I have the volume up so I can hear the old -typewriter sound effects going. Cool, huh? Oh, it’s just me?

Anyway, yesterday was my birthday. So I’ll be making a quick edit to my about me section in a few minutes, for I have turned 23.

For special occasions – which includes my birthday – I get dressed up in my best goth threads and celebrate.

Yesterday my outfit included three-inch boots with pretty straps and buckles. Which come to think of it, I should wear them more often to concerts.

As the occasional concert photographer, stages tend to be taller than me and since I’m unable to afford any type of camera lense better than the one I have now, maybe three inches will help?

Back to my point, I love getting dressed up. And this year, my boyfriend gave me the perfect necklace for my birthday.

Necklace from ShanaLogic.com

It’s a beautiful anatomically correct heart-shaped locket. It’s a handmade piece that he bought from Shana Logic, made of silver bronze.

I went through the stuff on Shana Logic and there is so much goth, Victorian, steampunk-style jewelry that was to die for. I love metal stuff (pun intended). So I suppose this post is a bit of advertising for the site than it was about my birthday. In any case, if you’re into that sort of thing check out the website for more really cool handmade stuff. I’m sure this isn’t my last piece either.

Blythe has not been acquitted but coming home will certainly comes as a relief from a near month-long foreign imprisonment. According to Blythe’s attorney, he is expected to return to the Czech Republic for trial at a later time. Blythe, of Lamb of God, was arrested on manslaughter charges on June 28 after a fan was “pushed” by the singer off the stage and later died due to head injuries.
